CONWAY, Ark. – Riding a two match winning streak, EKU will play its first ASUN Conference road matches this weekend.
 
The Colonels will play at Central Arkansas on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.  The road trip concludes on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET against North Alabama.  Both matches will air live on ESPN+.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Eastern Kentucky is 2-0 all-time against Central Arkansas.  The Colonels won both meetings last season, beating the Sugar Bears 3-2 on the road and then again at home by the same score. 
 
-  EKU is also 2-0 all-time against North Alabama with the first two meetings coming last season.  The Colonels won 3-1 in Richmond before picking up a 3-2 victory in Florence. 
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky improved to 10-6 on the season after going on the road and beating Marshall, 3-1, on Tuesday.  EKU is 1-1 in the ASUN Conference after splitting the opening weekend with a loss to Lipscomb and a win over Austin Peay.
 
-  The Colonels have served up 18 aces in their last two matches, including 10 on Tuesday at Marshall.  Senior Chloe Mason leads the team and is fourth in the ASUN with 0.46 aces per set.
 
-  Outside hitter Molly Michalak is seventh in the conference with 167 kills.  Sarah Mitchell is ninth in the league with 157 kills.
 
-  As a team, Eastern Kentucky has committed 89 fewer errors than its opponents this season.  The Colonels have held their opponents to a .176 attack percentage.
 
-  Mason and Miya Carmichael have shared setting duties this season.  Mason is averaging 5.34 assists per set and Carmichael is contributing 3.80 per set.  The duo has combined for only nine errors in 132 attacks.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Central Arkansas is 8-7 overall and 0-2 in ASUN matches.  After falling to Jacksonville State, 3-1, and Kennesaw State, 3-2, on the road last weekend to begin league play, the Sugar Bears beat Little Rock, 3-1, on Tuesday.  
 
-  Laci Bohannan leads UCA with 3.08 kills per set.  Leigh Maher contributes 3.88 digs per set.  Allison Holloway has a team-best 30 blocks.  
 
-  North Alabama sits at 10-4 this season, and 0-2 in ASUN matches.  The Lions fell at Kennesaw State, 3-1, and at Jacksonville State, 3-0, last weekend.  UNA will play at Bellarmine on Friday night.
 
-  Taylor Floyd averages a team-best 3.33 kills per set.  Ella Ratzloff is recording 4.37 digs per set and Mattrice Harris has 50 blocks for an average of 1.02 per set.
