JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Eastern Kentucky University will travel to Florida for a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference matches this weekend.
The Colonels will play at North Florida on Friday at 7 p.m. EKU stays in Jacksonville to face Jacksonville University on Saturday at 5 p.m.
THE COLONELS
- EKU is 15-3 overall and third in the ASUN Conference with a 5-1 mark. The Colonels dropped a road match at Lipscomb (3-2) before winning at Austin Peay (3-0) last weekend.
- The Colonels served up 11 aces in the win against Austin Peay.
Chloe Mason led the way with four. She is second in the conference with 0.48 aces per set.

AG Vandagriff is sixth in the ASUN with 3.11 kills per set, sixth with a .342 attack percentage and seventh with 3.44 points per set. In the two matches last week, she averaged 3.50 kills while hitting .455. Vandagriff had just three errors in 55 attacks.
- EKU is 66th in the latest NCAA RPI ranking, higher than any other ASUN team and higher than such programs as Duke (70th), Notre Dame (72nd), South Carolina (73rd), Xavier (82nd), Michigan State (85th) and Illinois (98th).

Carson Ledford leads the team and is third in the ASUN with a .377 attack percentage.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- North Florida is 10-10 overall and 3-3 in ASUN play. The Ospreys have won three straight and four of their last five. UNF swept a conference weekend at home with a 3-0 win over Kennesaw State and a sweep of Queens.
- Kailey McKnight averages a team-high 3.26 kills per set. She is second with 19 aces. Rocio Moro recently became the ASUN career digs leader. She is averaging 4.60 per set this season.
- Jacksonville is just 5-13 overall and 2-4 in conference matches, but the Dolphins are coming off a successful weekend at home with wins over Queens (3-0) and Kennesaw State (3-2). JU will host Bellarmine on Friday.
- Anna Erickson averages a team-best 2.97 kills per set with a .259 attack percentage. Lyric Love has a team-high 55 blocks and averages 0.82 per set.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- North Florida has a 2-1 edge in the all-time series. The first meeting between the two teams was in 2015. The Colonels earned a 3-0 win in Richmond last season.
- EKU has won all five meetings with Jacksonville. The first came in 1982. Last year the Colonels dispatched the Dolphins 3-0 in Richmond.
