RICHMOND, Ky. – The final home stand of the season for the volleyball team begins Friday against Stetson.
The Colonels and Hatters will get underway at 6 p.m. EKU will host Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday at 4 p.m. Both matches will air live on ESPN+.
EKU's annual Dig Pink Match, in support of the fight against breast cancer, is Friday against Stetson. Saturday will be Game Show Day. There will be game show inspired promotions throughout the match.
THE COLONELS
- EKU is 15-5 overall and tied for fourth in the ASUN Conference with a 5-3 mark. The Colonels have lost three of their last four, including back-to-back matches to North Florida and Jacksonville last weekend.
- EKU is first in the ASUN in points (17.88/set), hitting percentage (.253), assists (13.41/set), kills (14.39/set) and opponent aces (1.04/set).

Paige Wagers has the sixth best attack percentage in the ASUN at .337.
Sarah Mitchell is ninth in the league with 2.94 kills per set.
- The Colonels are fourth in the nation in kills per set and assists per set. EKU is 21st nationally in digs per set (16.49).
- In two matches last week, Mitchell averaged 3.86 kills per set while hitting .286.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Stetson sits at 10-10 overall and 5-3 in conference matches. The Hatters split a pair of home matches this past weekend against Lipscomb (1-3) and Austin Peay (3-1).
- Anabelle Standish is third in the ASUN with 3.35 kills per set. She leads the team with 17 aces and is fourth in the league with 3.86 points per set. Haruka Sugimoto is sixth in the conference with 4.14 digs per set.
- Florida Gulf Coast enters the weekend leading the ASUN Conference with an 8-0 record. The Eagles are 16-5 overall and have won nine straight matches. FGCU plays at Bellarmine on Friday.
- Alexandra Zakutney leads the team with 2.97 kills per set. Juliana Lentz leads the ASUN with 1.29 blocks per set. Ella Chapman averages 0.92 blocks per set, which is sixth on the conference. As a team, FGCU averages a conference-best 2.48 blocks per set.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- The Colonels are 3-2 all-time against Stetson. The first meeting between the two programs was in 1992. The Hatters earned a 3-2 win in the only meeting last season.
- Florida Gulf Coast has won all three meetings against EKU. FGCU picked up a 3-0 win in Fort Myers last year.
