NASSAU, Bahamas – Newcomer
Dili Sitanonth finished tied for 11th, leading the Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team to an eighth-place finish at the White Sand Invitational in the Bahamas, which concluded on Sunday.

The Colonels shot rounds of 315, 312 and 298 for a 54-hole total of 925. Â EKU finished 10 shots back of Charlotte (915) for a top-5 finish. Â EKU beat Troy (939), University of Tampa (950) and Eastern Michigan (975).

Kansas State (884) took home the team title by seven strokes over North Florida (891). Â Grand Canyon finished third with a team-total of 900.

The 11 teams competed over three days on the par 72, 6,415-yard course at the Ocean Club Golf Course. The event was hosted by Santa Clara University.

Sitanonth turned in rounds of 74, 77 and a 75 for a three-round total of 226 (+9).Â

Rylea Marcum shot a final round 3-under 69 to finish tied for 17th. It was the second lowest round by a Colonel this season.Â

Alice Daag posted a three-day total of 234 and finished tied for 34th. Â
Mattie Jo Neeley finished in 43rd (240).

This event wraps up the fall portion of the Colonels' schedule. Â EKU will hit the course again on Feb. 10-13 at the Columbia Classic in Melbourne, Florida.
