Colonels Wrap Up Fall Schedule With Top-10 Finish In Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas –
Newcomer Dili Sitanonth finished tied for 11th, leading the Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team to an eighth-place finish at the White Sand Invitational in the Bahamas, which concluded on Sunday.
 
The Colonels shot rounds of 315, 312 and 298 for a 54-hole total of 925.  EKU finished 10 shots back of Charlotte (915) for a top-5 finish.  EKU beat Troy (939), University of Tampa (950) and Eastern Michigan (975).
 
Kansas State (884) took home the team title by seven strokes over North Florida (891).  Grand Canyon finished third with a team-total of 900.
 
The 11 teams competed over three days on the par 72, 6,415-yard course at the Ocean Club Golf Course.  The event was hosted by Santa Clara University.
 
Sitanonth turned in rounds of 74, 77 and a 75 for a three-round total of 226 (+9). 
 
Rylea Marcum shot a final round 3-under 69 to finish tied for 17th.  It was the second lowest round by a Colonel this season. 
 
Alice Daag posted a three-day total of 234 and finished tied for 34th.  Mattie Jo Neeley finished in 43rd (240).
 
This event wraps up the fall portion of the Colonels' schedule.  EKU will hit the course again on Feb. 10-13 at the Columbia Classic in Melbourne, Florida.
