NORMAL, Ill. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's golf team will begin its 2025-26 season on Sunday at the 2-day Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State.

The 54-hole event will be contested on the par-72, 6,093-yard course at Weibring Golf Club.

In addition to EKU, the participating teams include Bowling Green State, Butler, Dayton, Drake, Evansville, Illinois State, Illinois Wesleyan, Indiana State, IU Indianapolis, Loyola (Chicago), Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Valparaiso.

The teams will play a practice round on Saturday. The first two rounds will begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. The final round is scheduled for a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. ET on Monday.

EKU's starting five will include sophomore
Karra Tucker, sophomore
Imogen Jessen, senior
Mary Keene Marrs, sophomore
Maddi-Jo Benton and senior
Lanie Campbell. Senior
Elizabeth Tucci will play as an individual.

Tucker was second on the team last season with a 76.90 stroke average and led the team with four rounds at par or below. Jessen was third on the team with a 76.92 stroke average. She shot a season-low round of 71 at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in April. Marrs compiled a 78.27 stroke average in nine events last season.

As a freshman in 2024-25, Benton appeared in four events. Campbell joined the EKU program after playing three seasons at Middle Tennessee, including a 75.44 stroke average last season. Tucci appeared in four events last season and shot a season-best 74 at the ASUN Championship.
