RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's men's basketball team will wrap up the EKU Classic against Prairie View A&M on Tuesday at noon.
Tuesday will be Education Day at the game. An estimated 3,000 local elementary students will be in attendance to cheer on the Colonels.

THE COLONELS
- The Colonels (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season on Friday, falling to Tennessee-Martin 80-74 in the first game of the EKU Classic.

Leland Walker led all players with 21 points. He also grabbed five rebounds.
- EKU struggled shooting the ball against the Skyhawks, making just 37 percent of its attempts from the field and only 28 percent (9-for-32) from behind the 3-point line.

Michael Moreno made three 3-pointers in Friday's game and moved into second place on the program's all-time 3-pointers list. With 273 career three's, he is just 10 behind record holder Matt Witt (283).
- UT Martin shot 46 percent from the field against EKU and made 11-of-26 from 3-point range (42 percent).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Prairie View A&M improved to 3-2 on the season with a 78-66 win over Tennessee-Martin in the Panthers first EKU Classic game on Sunday. PVAM also has wins over Kansas Christian (89-66) and Abilene Christian (79-74).
- Charles Smith IV, a 6-foot-5 guard, leads the team in scoring at 16.4 points per game. He is also pulling down 5.4 rebounds per game.
- Brian Myles, a 6-foot-7 forward, is contributing 9.6 points and a team-best 8.0 rebounds per game.
- Myles had 18 points and 14 rebounds in the win over UT Martin. Smith finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Point guard Andre Nunley had 10 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and four assists.
- Prairie View is averaging 74.2 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field. The Panthers have made 28 percent of their 3-point attempts and have held their opponents to 30 percent shooting from deep. PVAM held UT Martin to 36 percent shooting from the field and 30 percent (6-for-20) from behind the arc.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- The only meeting between the two teams came on Nov. 20, 2017 at the MGM Grand Main Event in Las Vegas. The Panthers won that game 80-70.
- Nick Mayo scored a game-high 25 points, grabbed six rebounds and had three assists in that game. EKU shot 50 percent from the field for the game and went 30-for-36 at the free throw line (83 percent).
