LOUISVILLE, Ky. – EKU will conclude the 2023 volleyball regular season with road games at Bellarmine on Wednesday and at Queens on Saturday.
Wednesday's match in Louisville will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday's contest in Charlotte is set for a 2 p.m. start. Both matches will air live on ESPN+.
THE COLONELS
- EKU is 19-7 this season and 9-5 in the ASUN after splitting a road trip this past weekend. The Colonels beat Central Arkansas 3-1 before falling at North Alabama 3-1. EKU is 4-5 in true road matches this season.
- EKU is 11th in the nation with 14.05 kills per set and eighth with 13.19 assists per set. The Colonels are 36th in the NCAA with 16.18 digs per set and 39th in attacks per set (36.55).

Chloe Mason is 22nd in the NCAA with 0.49 aces per set.

Sarah Mitchell is sixth in the league with 3.10 kills per set and eighth with 3.49 points per set.
- EKU held Central Arkansas and North Alabama to a .188 attack percentage. The Colonels are second in the ASUN in opponent hitting percentage (.197).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Bellarmine stands at 9-17 overall and 7-7 in ASUN matches. After a stretch of winning six of seven, the Knights have now lost five of their last six. BU suffered back-to-back shutouts at North Alabama and Central Arkansas this past weekend.
- Bailey Venard leads the team with 2.72 kills per set. Natalie Bland is contributing 2.61 kills per set. Anna Lococo averages 3.92 digs per set and is second on the team with 22 aces.
- Queens is 4-22 this season and 1-13 in league matches. The Royals will host Kennesaw State on Thursday. Queens has lost seven straight since beating Central Arkansas 3-0 on Oct. 13.
- Alleigh Johnson leads the team with 2.55 kills per set while Jordyn Johnson is right behind at 2.54 kills per set. The two have combined for 52 aces. Kayla McDuffie is contributing 0.59 blocks per set.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- The Colonels are 8-3 all-time against Bellarmine. EKU shutout the Knights earlier this season 3-0, limiting BU to eight points in the first set and no more than 17 points in any of the three sets.
Kambree Lucas led the Colonels with 13 points, did not make an error and had a .619 attack percentage. Venard posted seven kills for the Knights.
- EKU is 2-0 against Queens, with both matches coming during the 2022 season. EKU won the first meeting 3-0 and picked up a 3-2 victory in the second match-up. Both matches were played in Richmond.
