Colonels Set For Sunday Home Game

RICHMOND, Ky. – After two straight road games, Eastern Kentucky University will be back at Baptist Health Arena on Sunday to host Bethany College.
 
Fans will receive FREE hot chocolate at the game.  As part of the Toys for Tots drive, fans who donate a new toy will receive 50 percent off their ticket on Sunday.
 
The game will begin at 4 p.m. ET and air live on ESPN+.  The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, or worldwide on EKUSports.com.
 
THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels (3-4) had multiple double-digit leads against UNC Greensboro, the No. 4 ranked team in the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25, on Thursday but couldn't hold off a Spartan rally and lost by two in overtime.
 
-  Michael Moreno hit four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points against UNC Greensboro.  He'll enter Sunday's game one 3-pointer away from tying Matt Witt's program record of 283 career three's.
 
-  Devontae Blanton finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block at UNCG.  In his last four games, Blanton is averaging 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.8 steals per contest.  He has scored a season-best 22 twice during that stretch.
 
-  Over the last five games, EKU's opponents have shot 46 percent from behind the 3-point arc (58-for-127).  During that same time, the Colonels have made 33 percent of their attempts from deep (40-for-122).
 
-  In his last three games, Leland Walker is contributing 19 points, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 54 percent from the field.  He is now seventh in the Atlantic Sun Conference in shooting percentage for the season (47 percent).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Bethany College, an NCAA Division III program in Bethany, West Virginia, stands 3-6 overall this season and 2-3 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.  The Bison have scored 80 or more points in six of their nine games, including 101 in a season-opening victory over Mt. Aloysius.   
 
- Cole Dailey, a 6-foot-6 sophomore forward, leads the team in scoring (16.3 ppg), rebounding (9.3 rpg), assists (3.7 apg) and blocks (2.1 bpg).  He is shooting 45 percent from the field and has gone to the free throw line a team-high 59 times.
 
-  Chance Wells, a 6-foot-2 junior guard, is contributing 15 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
 
-  As a team, the Bison are averaging 82 points per game and giving up 87 per contest.  Bethany has shot 44 percent from the field, but their opponents have made 50 percent of their shots from the field and 42 percent from 3-point range.
 
-  Bethany is averaging 9.0 steals per game, but is turning the ball over as often as its opponents – 15.3 turnovers per game compared to 15.7 per game.
