CHARLESTON, S.C. – The EKU beach volleyball team extended its program-record winning streak to five matches with a pair of sweeps against Berry and Catawba on Saturday at the College of Charleston Beach Classic. 

EKU dominated the first match of the day, dropping just one set against the Vikings. Arilyn Lee and EK Lonergan rallied for a 19-21, 21-16, 15-8 win on court three, while Elizabeth Fonvielle and Madalyn Richardson made their debut at the No. 5 flight with a match-clinching 21-12, 21-12 win. Hannah Keating earned the 50th win of her career, teaming with Paityn Walker for a 21-16, 21-12 win at the No. 2 spot. 

The Colonels notched their second sweep of the day against Catawba, winning all 10 sets in the victory. Sarah Mitchell and Shannon Stone produced EKU's most dominant win of the day, cruising to a 21-11, 21-8 decision on court two for their fifth consecutive win. Keating and Walker earned the clinching point with a 21-12, 21-13 victory at the No. 1 spot, while Rachel Mueller and Bella Williams completed the sweep with a 21-10, 21-19 win at No. 3. 

Keating and Walker moved to 9-1 on the season, while the duo of Mueller and Williams is now 8-2 and on a five-duel winning streak. 

EKU faces No. 20 Coastal Carolina on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. before battling host College of Charleston at 4:00 p.m.
