CHARLESTON, S.C. – The EKU beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to No. 20 Coastal Carolina and College of Charleston on Sunday at the CofC Beach Classic.
EKU battled the nationally-ranked Chanticleers throughout the day, with
Hannah Keating and
Paityn Walker playing the closest match, falling 21-19, 25-23 at the No. 2 slot.
Against the host Cougars, EKU forced a third set on two different courts as
Elizabeth Fonvielle and
Maddy Campbell notched a 22-20, 19-21, 15-11 victory at No. 5.
EKU returns to action on Wednesday afternoon when the Colonels visit UNC Wilmington for a pair of matches at 1:00 p.m.
