CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Eastern Kentucky University scored 10 or more runs for the sixth straight game and completed a three-game sweep of Queens with an 11-6 win on Sunday at The Stick.

The Colonels (25-24, 13-11 ASUN) have won three of their last four ASUN Conference series, with two sweeps during that stretch. EKU is 12-6 in its last 18 league games and is tied for fifth place in the ASUN standings, just two games out of fourth with two weekends left in the regular season.

EKU out-scored the Royals 42-11 in the series, winning the first two games 15-0 and 16-5. The Colonels started their current six-game winning streak with an 11-10 win over Lipscomb, then beat Northern Kentucky 10-7 and Morehead State 13-3.

Down 1-0 in the top of the fourth inning,
Will King gave the visitors a lead they would never relinquish with a two-run home run over the wall in right center. EKU has hit at least one home run in 10 straight games and has clubbed 42 in the last 19 games.

A three-run seventh inning allowed the Colonels to build a 7-2 lead.Â
Roderick Criss II capped the inning with a two-run single through the left side.

The Royals (12-35, 6-18 ASUN) rallied in the bottom of the seventh with four runs, including a three-run home run off the bat of Connor Manco. Nick Brassington added a RBI single to get the home team within one 7-6.

The Colonels answered with four runs of their own in the top of the eighth to put the game away.Â
DJ Sullivan had a two-run single and Criss drove in another run with a single to left.

Criss had a 2-for-5 day with three RBIs. Sullivan went 2-for-3 with two walks and three driven in. King had a 2-for-3 day with a walk, three runs and two RBIs. As a team, EKU drew 12 walks in the game.

Manco's only hit was his three-run home run for Queens.

Michael Schuler improved to 3-1 this season after pitching five innings, allowing one earned run, walking two and striking out five.
