LEXINGTON, Ky. – EKU football returns to action this weekend as the Colonels head to Lexington to face Kentucky on Saturday afternoon.
Kickoff is slated for 3:00 p.m. on SEC Network Plus with Peter Sousa serving as the play-by-play announcer and Takeo Spikes as the analyst.
A live radio broadcast will also be available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, Greg Stotelmyer, Jim Tirey, and Wes Chandler will be on call.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Kentucky leads the all-time series 5-0. The two teams first met in 1998.
- The Colonels are seeking their eighth victory over an FBS opponent.

Logan Blake led the EKU defense with 10 tackles against Cincinnati in his first career game as a Colonel.

Jaden Smith highlighted the Colonels' receiving corps with five catches for 81 yards against the Bearcats.

Joshua Carter gained 68 yards on just seven carries against Cincinnati, averaging 9.7 yards per attempt.
- 11 different Colonels made their first starts with EKU last Saturday (five on offense, six on defense).
- Offensive lineman
Payton Collins has made 33 consecutive starts at left tackle for the Colonels.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- The Wildcats defeated Ball State in their season opener, 44-14.
- Barion Brown (wide receiver) was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week after returning a kick 99 yards for a score against the Cardinals.
- Trevin Wallace (linebacker) earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after tying his career-high with 12 tackles against Ball State
- Kentucky has won 17 consecutive nonconference games in the regular season.
- In his first game as a Wildcat, Devin Leary (quarterback) finished 18-of-31 for 241 yards and a touchdown.
