CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – EKU's volleyball team will take its 6-match winning streak on the road to Tennessee for a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference matches this weekend.
 
The Colonels will play at Austin Peay at 7 p.m. on Friday and at Lipscomb at 5 p.m. on Saturday.  Both matches will air live on ESPN+.
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU (16-7, 7-3 ASUN) overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat North Florida on Sunday, the second time the team has pulled off a reverse sweep during their 6-match winning streak.  Since the start of the 2023 season, the Colonels are a combined 37-16.
 
-  Sophomore setter Emilee Hill posted a triple-double against UNF.  She finished with a career-high 14 kills, 33 assists and 16 digs.  It was her fourth triple-double of the season.  Hill leads the ASUN and is tied for fifth in the nation in triple-doubles.
 
-  AG Vandagriff is averaging 3.36 kills per set while hitting .342 in the last six matches.  During that time she has 74 kills and 19 errors in 161 total attacks.  The junior right side had a career-high 21 kills on Sunday.
 
-  During their 6-match winning streak, the Colonels have hit .293 as a team.  EKU has 327 kills and 93 errors in 800 attacks during that span.  Conversely, the Colonels have held their opponents to .191 hitting.
 
-  Over the last six matches, five Colonels are averaging 2.00 kills per set.  Those five are Vandagriff (3.36), Sarah Mitchell (2.91), Kambree Lucas (2.47), Carson Ledford (2.41) and Hill (2.27).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Austin Peay is 1-21 this season and 0-10 in ASUN matches.  The Governors have lost 20 straight.  
 
-  Sarah Carnathan leads the team with 2.47 kills per set.  Tayler Baron leads the squad, and is third in the conference, with 4.73 digs per set.  Anna Rita averages 1.03 blocks per set, fourth in the ASUN. 
 
-  Lipscomb is 11-10 overall and 8-2 in ASUN matches after a sweep of Stetson on Saturday.  The Bisons two league losses have come at home against Central Arkansas (3-2) and at home against Florida Gulf Coast (3-1).  Lipscomb will host Bellarmine on Friday.
 
-  Courtney Jones is third in the ASUN in aces (0.45/set), is seventh in kills (3.38/set) and seventh in points (3.97/set).  Meg Mersman is second in the conference in blocks (1.13) and third in hitting percentage (.317).
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  EKU leads the series with Austin Peay 46-27.  The Colonels have won four straight over the Governors without losing a set, including a victory in Richmond on Sept. 26, 2024. 
 
-  EKU has an 11-4 advantage in the series against Lipscomb.  The two teams split a pair of 5-set matches last season with each winning on their own home court.  The Bisons won a 3-2 match in Richmond on Sept. 27, 2024.  Four of the last five meetings have gone five sets.
