INDIANAPOLIS – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team (13-3, 0-0 ASUN) won its 12
th straight match against IUPUI (4-9, 0-0 Horizon) by a score of 4-3 on Saturday at the West Indy Racquet Club. The Colonels tied their longest winning streak in program history, as they won 12 straight matches in 1964-65.
To begin the dual match,
Evzen Holis and
Paul-Antoine Brazet won their doubles match from the top court, 6-2. Then,
J.Anurag Reddy and
Kristoffer Stahlbrand earned the victory from the No. 3 spot, 6-3, as EKU claimed the doubles point.
In singles play, Holis earned a straight-set victory from the No. 1 position, 6-4, 6-2.
Brazet won his ninth straight singles match in dominant fashion from the No. 4 court, 6-2, 6-2.
Stahlbrand clinched the match for the Colonels, winning his singles contest in straight sets from the No. 5 spot, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4.
The Jaguars won their singles matches from the No. 2, 3, and 6 courts.
