RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team (18-4, 3-0 ASUN) remains undefeated at home, winning its match against Queens (9-6, 2-1 ASUN) by a score of 6-1 on Sunday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center. EKU's 14-0 home record is the best in the country.
To begin the dual match,
Kristoffer Stahlbrand and J. Anurag Reddy won their doubles match from the No. 3 court, 6-3.
Moritz Mayer and
Mario Monclus Martin won their ninth doubles match as a pair from the No. 2 spot, 6-2, as the Colonels took a one-point advantage.
Mayer won his 15
th singles match of the season from the No. 4 position, 7-5, 7-5.
Evzen Holis earned the win in singles from the No. 1 court in straight sets, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4.
Fernando Bulnes clinched the match for the Colonels in singles play in three sets from the No. 2 spot, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-0.
Stahlbrand dominated in singles from the No. 6 court, 6-2, 6-0.
Paul-Antoine Brazet earned the victory in singles from the No. 5 position, 6-1, 5-7, 10-8.
