RICHMOND, Ky. – Turner Buttry was selected to the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
In the classroom, Buttry carries a 3.56 cumulative grade-point-average while majoring in sport management.
On the court, Buttry played in 30 games and started once this past season. He averaged 5.3 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 45 percent from the field. Buttry made 44 percent of his attempts from 3-point range (34-for-78) and connected on 91 percent of his free throw attempts (38-of-42).
The 5-foot-11 guard from Bowling Green, Kentucky scored a career-best 22 points against Wilberforce and dished out a career-high eight assists against West Virginia Tech. He scored the final eight points of an 11-0 run that turned a 5-point deficit against Jacksonville into a 6-point lead.
