CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team fell in the finale of the C of C Beach Classic to UNCW, 5-0 on Saturday.
The Colonels were unable to earn a single point against the highly touted Seahawks that featured ranked pairs at the No. 1, 3, and 5 pairs.
EKU's closest pair was
Sami Deidesheimer and
London Moultrie that were the only Colonels to force a third and final set, but were unable to pull out the win.'
The No. 1 pair of
Sarah Mitchell and
Paityn Walker had their winning streak snapped by the No. 10 ranked pair in the country losing, 21-12, 21-15.
