EKU Beach Faces Chattanooga and North Alabama At Chattanooga Tri-Duel On Wednesday

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team faces Chattanooga and ASUN foe North Alabama at the Chattanooga Tri-Duel on Wednesday.
 
The Colonels will play host Chattanooga at 1:00 p.m. and compete against North Alabama at 3:00 p.m.
 
EKU enters the tournament with a 15-11 record, losing all three matches at the C of C Beach Classic last weekend.
 
The Maroon and White are led by their No. 1 pair, Paityn Walker and Sarah Mitchell, who boast a 17-7 record against NCAA opponents this season and are ranked No. 13 in the NCAA rankings for the top pairs by CollegeBeachVolleyball.com.
 
The Colonels' No. 1 pair knocked off the No. 10 pair from Coastal Carolina on April 12. Mitchell earned her 50th individual career win at the C of C Beach Classic.
 
SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs are 11-8 this season, winning all five matches at the Scenic City Showdown against UT Martin, Austin Peay, Tusculum, and Carson-Newman. Chattanooga is riding a ten-match winning streak.
 
SCOUTING NORTH ALABAMA
The Lions are 18-10 in 2024, winning all three matches at the Blazer Beach Bash last weekend against Southern Miss (4-1), Mercer (3-2), and RV UAB (4-1).
 
EKU lost to North Alabama 4-1 on March 22 at the Stacheville Beach Bash.
