CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University's beach volleyball team split its two matches at the Chattanooga Tri-Dual on Wednesday afternoon.
The Colonels first knocked off the Mocs, 3-2 with the clinching win coming at the No. 2 slot as
EK Lonergan and
Reagan Sandlin won a three-set thriller, 23-21, 16-21, 15-11.
Following the win, the Colonels dropped a 5-0 decision against North Alabama.
In the win against CTU, EKU got started with a win at the No. 4 match as
Rachel Mueller and
Gabriella Armitage sealed their match late in the second winning, 21-15
, 22-20.
In the top-flight,
Paityn Walker and
Sarah Mitchell claimed their 20
th win as a pair this season with a convincing win in two sets, 21-14, 21-10.
With the match tied at 2-2, Lonergan and Sandlin stepped up to provide the dual-clinching win in three sets.
