RICHMOND, Ky. – The 2024 Fall semester was a successful one for Eastern Kentucky University Athletics as the Colonels posted the best ever all-athlete term GPA with a mark of 3.253.
 
The record setting mark is the second highest all-athlete term GPA ever and is the 26^th consecutive semester with the Colonels posting a collective GPA over 3.0.
 
16 of the Colonels 18 teams earned above a 3.0 GPA with beach volleyball leading all teams with a semester GPA of 3.785.
 
The mark is the highest term GPA ever for the program as every member of the team earned Colonel Scholar accolades with individual GPAs of 3.0 or higher.
 
On the men's side, men's tennis narrowly edged out baseball for the highest team GPA with tennis finishing at a 3.436 mark and baseball at 3.434 respectively.
 
Baseball's 3.4 GPA marked a program best for a semester GPA.
 
EKU volleyball also recorded its highest Fall term GPA as a team with a mark of 3.679 with all members making the Colonel Scholars list.
 
The same can be said for football which posted their highest Fall GPA and second highest term GPA ever with a mark of 2.934.
 
Individually, 72 student athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA with 135 making Dean's List or Presidents Award at EKU in the Fall.
 
Finally, 277 of 381 total student-athletes earned Colonel Scholar honors.
