EKU To Play In ASUN Tournament Championship On Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The No. 3 seeded Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team will face No. 4 seed Central Arkansas in the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament championship game on Sunday at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida.
 
The match will begin at 1 p.m. ET and air live on ESPN+.
 
The two teams played each other twice during the regular season.  EKU swept the Sugar Bears in Conway on Oct. 26.  UCA returned the favor with a sweep of the Colonels at Baptist Health Arena on Nov. 13.
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU is 22-8 overall, the most wins in a season for the program since the 2005 team won 23 matches.  The Colonels had a 12-4 ASUN record and tied for second.  The team has won nine of its last 10 matches, with the only loss coming to Central Arkansas.
 
-  The Colonels are looking for their first conference tournament championship since winning the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in 2004.  EKU beat No. 6 Queens (3-1) and No. 2 Jacksonville (3-1) to advance to the championship match.
 
-  Junior setter, and 2025 ASUN Player of the Year, Emilee Hill has posted a triple-double in both tournament matches.  She is averaging 3.43 points, 2.63 kills, 4.38 assists, 4.00 digs and 1.25 blocks per set in the ASUN Tournament.
 
-  In its two tournament matches, EKU has held its opponents to a .150 attack percentage.  The Colonels lead the ASUN in opponent hitting percentage on the season at .187.
 
-  Over her last eight matches, senior middle blocker Carson Ledford is averaging 1.41 blocks per set.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Central Arkansas is 17-11 and has won four in a row.  The Sugar Bears posted a 12-4 ASUN record, tying for second place.  UCA beat No. 5 Lipscomb (3-0) and No. 8 North Florida (3-2) to reach the title match.
 
-  Laci Bohannan, a junior outside hitter, leads the team with 3.45 kills per set.  She is fourth in the ASUN in kills and third in points (4.02/set). 
 
-  Redshirt freshman McKinzee Haas (1.13) and junior Greyson Button (1.04) both average more than 1.00 blocks per set.
 
-  As a team, UCA leads the conference in blocks with 2.42 per set and opponents blocks (1.61/set). 
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  The Colonels are 5-4 all-time against Central Arkansas. 
 
-  In the last meeting between the two teams, Addison Burke led EKU with 11 kills.  Bohannan had a match-best 13 kills for the Sugar Bears.
