RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's men's basketball team will be back at home to host Wofford College on Saturday.

-Â EKU dropped to 1-5 with an 82-71 loss at Northern Kentucky on Monday.

-Â The Colonels will be without two starters for several weeks after
Montavious Myrick and
Jalen Cooper suffered hand injuries.

-Â EKU has crashed the offensive glass to the tune of 15 offensive rebounds per game over the last three games.

-Â Juan Cranford Jr. is averaging 17 points per game and shooting 45% from the field over the past three games, including back-to-back 18-point performances against Mercer and NKU.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Wofford dropped to 4-3 on the season after losing at Northern Kentucky on Wednesday, 93-83. The Terriers' wins have come against Milwaukee (86-76), Bellarmine (94-86), North Florida (86-78) and Erskine (81-57). Â

- Wofford averages 76.9 points per game and has allowed 79 per contest. The Terriers have shot 45% from field while their opponents are shooting 48%. Northern Kentucky shot 52% against WC.

- Kahmare Holmes, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard, leads the team with an average of 17.3 points per game. Nils Machowski, a 6-foot-3 junior guard who played at Central Florida the past two seasons, is second on the team in scoring (12.3 ppg) and assists (3.1 apg).

- Holmes finished with 21 points against NKU. Machowski had 15 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

INSIDE THE SERIES
-Â This is the first-ever meeting between the EKU and Wofford men's basketball programs.

- The two teams share a few common opponents this season. Both teams lost at Northern Kentucky this week. Wofford beat future EKU opponents Bellarmine and North Florida. The Colonels lost to future Wofford opponent Mercer. Both teams will play Wichita State in December.
