CHICAGO – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team suffered two losses to Northern Illinois and DePaul in the George Lott Classic on Saturday inside the XS Tennis Village.
 
EKU (5-11) fell in a 4-3 thriller to Northern Illinois and 4-0 in the latter to DePaul.  As of Saturday, the Blue Demons were ranked No. 61 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll.
 
Nuno Pinheiro, Adrian Contreras, and Ryan Kitchin picked up singles wins in the team loss to Northern Illinois.  All three of the Colonels wins came via straight sets.

In match two against DePaul, EKU only had five available players forcing the team to concede the court No. 3 in doubles and court No. 6 in singles.  Down the 2-0 disadvantage, the host team only needed two points to secure the win--doing so on court Nos. 3 and 5.
