JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Senior
Paityn Walker of the Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team was named to the All-ASUN Second Team this afternoon, as announced by the conference office.
Walker becomes the first player in program history to earn all-conference recognition, adding it to her long list of accolades that includes a preseason all-conference selection this season and the program's record for individual wins in a career that currently stands at 60.
Playing every match this season at the 1's as she did in 2024, Walker has won 12 individual matches this season, helping the Colonels to their third straight winning season.
In 2023, she partnered with
Sarah Mitchell to go 20-10 in the top-flight as the pair was ranked as high as No. 13 in the NCAA that season with ranked wins over Coastal Carolina and North Alabama.
The senior from Virginia will now lead EKU in the ASUN Conference Championship in Huntsville, Alabama, where the Colonels will face the No. 3 seed Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
