RICHMOND, Ky. – Thursdays with the Colonels will return for another season beginning next Thursday, August 28, with the Head Coach Walt Wells' Golden Corral Luncheon and Thursday Night with the Colonels presented by Blue Stallion – Richmond taproom and Holler Burger.
 
Head coach Walt Wells and members of the EKU football team will attend the weekly luncheon at Golden Corral every Thursday at noon during every game week. Fans are invited to join Coach Wells for lunch, followed by a question-and-answer session and a weekly inside look at the program.
 
That evening at 6:30 p.m., fans are invited to attend "Thursday Night with the Colonels" presented by Blue Stallion - Richmond Taproom and Holler Burger.
 
Here, Coach Wells and members of the football team will join EKU play-by-play announcer Greg Stotelmyer at Blue Stallion Richmond taproom in downtown Richmond for interviews and a preview of the weekend's game.
 
The evening event will also be livestreamed on WBON and on the EKU Sports Facebook page.
 
EKU kicks off the 2025 season next Saturday, August 30 at 3 p.m. ET against Louisville.
