CINCINNATI, Ohio – After starting the 2025 season with a pair of wins in Charleston, South Carolina, Eastern Kentucky University will travel north for three matches in Cincinnati at the Xavier Tournament.

The Colonels will face Indiana University-Indianapolis on Friday at 3 p.m. On Saturday, EKU will take on Miami (Ohio) at 11 a.m. and Xavier at 7 p.m.

-Â In the first three matches of the season,
AG Hynes averaged 3.67 kills, 1.0 digs and 0.58 blocks per set while hitting .395.

Addison Burke averaged 3.08 kills, 2.00 digs, 0.17 aces and 0.17 blocks per set.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- IU Indy started the season with three wins at the Charleston Southern Tournament, beating The Citadel, Charleston Southern and Loyola Maryland without losing a set. Freshman Jillian Tippmann leads the team with 4.00 kills per set and is hitting .338. Senior middle blocker Morgan Ostrowski is averaging 3.33 kills, 0.67 blocks and hitting .560 on the season. Â

- Miami (Ohio) went 3-0 at the Bellarmine Classic – beating SIU Edwardsville, Bellarmine and Indiana State without losing a set – before suffering a 3-2 loss against Ohio State on Wednesday. Junior outside hitter Chelsea Williams leads the team with 3.64 kills per set. Senior middle blocker Gentry Warrick is contributing 2.07 blocks per set.Â

- Xavier is 3-0 this year after opening the campaign against Tennessee Tech (3-0), Austin Peay (3-1) and Murray State (3-1) in Clarksville, Tennessee. A trio of players are averaging between 2. 70 and 2.78 kills per set with senior outside hitter Anna Taylor leading the way at 2.78 with a .440 attack percentage.
