Former Colonel, Josiah Ezirim, Selected by Renegades in UFL Free Agent Draft

DALLAS, TEXAS - Former Colonel and 2024 NFL Draft pick Josiah Ezirim has found a new home in the Dallas Renegades of the United Football League, being selected in the league's first-ever free agent draft.

A draft pick by the New Orleans Saints in the 2024 NFL Draft, Ezirim now joins fellow Eternal Colonel, Willie Taylor, who has been with the Renegades since the 2024 season.

In 2023, Ezirim had a standout season in his final year as a Colonel, earning All-American honors, First Team All-UAC, and was named the UAC's Offensive Lineman of the Year by Phil Steele.

In that final season, Ezirim started every game for EKU, contributing to the Colonels' achievement of having the top offense in the conference with 437.4 yards per game. They totaled 4,811 yards on the season, scoring 37 touchdowns and averaging 29.5 points per game.

The UFL Free Agent Draft includes 2025 and 2026 NFL Draft-eligible players and 2025 NFL training camp players, along with UFL Showcase attendees and players who had previously signed a letter-of-intent with the league but did not finish the 2025 season on a UFL roster.

This draft is broken down by position group, with offensive linemen, running backs/tight ends, receivers, defensive front seven, defensive backs, and specialists.

The draft order is selected via a virtual lottery.
