KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis program suffered a 7-0 loss to the University of Tennessee on Thursday night inside the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
With the loss, EKU falls to 2-5 on the season.
The Colonels dropped the doubles with losses on courts one and three via 6-1 and 6-3 decisions, respectively.
In singles play, Tennessee (4-3) won all six courts with five of the matches decided in straight sets. Senior
Adrian Contreras was able to push his match to three sets but lost in the super tiebreak, 10-8.
EKU returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 1 playing against North Dakota and Bellarmine in Louisville. Match times are currently slated for 2:30 and 6 p.m. ET.
