Colonels Set To Close Out Regular Season With Two Home Games

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University will conclude the regular season with a pair of home games this week at Baptist Health Arena, facing Queens University of Charlotte on Wednesday and Lipscomb on Saturday.
 
Wednesday's game will begin at 7 p.m. ET.  Saturday's contest is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.  Both games will air live on ESPN+.  The live audio broadcast of the game is available worldwide on EKUSports.com and the EKUSports app.
 
Wednesday will be 80s Night with the first 200 students receiving FREE Pit Viper style sunglasses.  Saturday will be Senior Night.
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU (11-18, 7-9 ASUN) has won two in a row, beating West Georgia 81-80 in overtime and knocking off Bellarmine, 95-92, on the road.
 
-  In his last two games, freshman MJ Williams has averaged 12 points, 8.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals.
 
-  The Colonels hit a season-high 20 three-pointers at Bellarmine on Saturday.  Their previous best was 19, against Central Arkansas (Jan. 10).
 
-  EKU is now fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference with an average of 80.55 points per game.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Queens has won three straight to improve to 17-12 overall and 12-4 in league games.  The Royals lead the ASUN in scoring offense at 84.55 points per game and are second in field goal percentage (48.4%).  
 
- Nasir Mann, a 6-foot-1 senior guard, leads the team in scoring (13.1 ppg) and rebounding (5.6 rpg).  He has hit 49.5% of his shots from the field.  Chris Ashby is fourth in the ASUN with 87 made 3-pointers.
 
-  Two straight wins has Lipscomb sitting at 18-11 on the season and 11-5 in conference contests.  The Bisons will play at West Georgia on Wednesday.
 
-  Grant Asman, a 6-foot-11 forward, leads Lipscomb in scoring (14.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.1 rpg).  He is shooting 53% from the field and 38% from 3-point range.  As a team, the Bisons are third in the ASUN in scoring (80.6 ppg) and fourth in scoring defense (75.3 ppg).
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  EKU is 3-2 all-time against Queens.  The Colonels are 2-0 against the Royals in Richmond.  Queens won the first meeting this season, 91-89, on Jan. 1 in Charlotte.
 
-  The series with Lipscomb is tied 4-4.  The Colonels are 3-0 against the Bisons in games played in Richmond.  Lipscomb snapped a 2-game losing skid in the series with a 75-61 win in Nashville on Feb. 11.
