MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University lost to Middle Tennessee State, 17-0 in seven innings, on Tuesday in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The Blue Raiders (10-7) scored six runs in the first two innings to pull away early. Clay Badylak's 2-run double highlighted a 5-run second inning that put the home team ahead 6-0. It was one of three doubles in the inning for MTSU.

Middle Tennessee added three in the fourth and eight in the fifth.

Julius Scearce went 2-for-2 for the Colonels (5-12).Â

Brock Blanton pitched a scoreless sixth inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.
