RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University has announced game times and promotional themes for its home football games during the 2026 season.
 
The Colonels will play six contests at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium, beginning with the home opener on Sept. 12 and concluding the slate deep in United Athletic Conference play on Nov. 14.

Sept. 12, 2026 | vs. Chattanooga | 6 p.m. ET
Home Opener & Maroon Out Presented by Coca-Cola
 
Fans are encouraged to wear maroon and show their EKU pride as the Colonels open the 2026 home slate. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative t-shirt presented by Coca-Cola.
 
Sept. 19, 2026 | vs. Dayton | 6 p.m. ET
Kids at The Kidd, Kids Club Day & Extra Yard for Teachers
 
Kids 12 and under are eligible to claim one complimentary ticket and will have the opportunity to participate in the annual halftime run on the field. Fans can also take part in the Kids at The Kidd T-Shirt Design Contest, while Kids Club members receive free admission. Oct. 3, 2026 | vs. North Alabama | 6 p.m. ET
Family Weekend & 1979-82 Team Reunions
 
EKU will welcome back members of the 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 football teams that advanced to four consecutive national championship games and captured two national titles. Colonel-Val will also appear in the Colonel Courtyard alongside live music, food trucks, fun activities and more.

Hall of Fame Game
 
EKU will recognize the 2026 EKU Athletics Hall of Fame induction class during the game.
 
Oct. 24, 2026 | vs. West Florida | 3 p.m. ET
Homecoming
 
EKU will celebrate Homecoming festivities and crown its 2026 Homecoming King and Queen. More activities surrounding 2026 EKU Homecoming will be announced by the university at a later date.
 
Nov. 14, 2026 | vs. Central Arkansas | 2 p.m. ET
Senior Day & Salute to Service
 
The Colonels will honor the program's senior class prior to kickoff. EKU will also recognize veterans, active-duty military members, first responders and healthcare workers during pregame ceremonies. The featured concession item will be the top-selling specialty item from the previous five home games.

On June 5, EKU launched its Drive for 5K campaign with the goal of reaching 5,000 season ticket holders for the 2026 season.
