RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University athletics and the EKU football program will hold its annual Colonel Fan Day presented by Meijer on Saturday, Aug. 22, at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium.
 
Fan Day is free to attend, and Colonel fans of all ages are encouraged to come out and meet the 2026 EKU football team ahead of the upcoming season.
 
Doors are set to open at approximately 5 p.m. ET at the Olympic Sports Training Center. EKU football student-athletes will sign autographs and meet fans for 45 minutes until starting warm ups for the scrimmage on the field.
 
Fans can also enjoy food trucks stationed in the RV lot, along with face painting, inflatables, yard games, and much more inside the stadium. Coca-Cola will be on site with product sampling, while Meijer, CG Bank, and Qdoba will also be in attendance.

The first 100 fans to the event will receive a voucher for free ice cream.
 
Following Fan Day activities, fans are invited to stick around for an early look at the team with an open scrimmage beginning at 7 p.m. at Roy Kidd Stadium.
 
Season tickets remain on sale for the 2026 season and will be available for purchase on site during Fan Day. Fans can view ticket packages, including group and single-game tickets online here.
