CONWAY, Ark. – After starting the season 10-2, Eastern Kentucky will begin its United Athletic Conference slate at Central Arkansas and Little Rock this week.

EKU will play at Central Arkansas on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET. The match at Little Rock is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. Both matches will air live on ESPN+.

THE COLONELS
-Â The Colonels beat Presbyterian (3-0), Tennessee Tech (3-1) and Appalachian State (3-2) to win the Geri Polvino Invitational at home last weekend, and have won five straight matches overall.

Emilee Hill was chosen as the UAC Co-Player of the Week on Monday. Hill and
Cooper Abney were also picked as the UAC Setter Pair of the Week.

-Â Since the start of the 2023 season, the Colonels are a combined 74-30.

-Â Hill posted a triple-double against App State, raising her season total to an NCAA-best four and her career total to 19 triple-doubles.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Central Arkansas has started the season 0-10. The Sugar Bears lost to Texas Tech (3-1), West Florida (3-1) and Iowa (3-0) last weekend in Iowa City. Â

- Kennady Martindale leads the team with 2.33 kills per set. Greyson Button averages a team-high 1.09 blocks per set.Â

- Little Rock sits at 6-6 and will host Austin Peay on Thursday. The Trojans lost to Southern Miss (3-2) and Memphis (3-0) last weekend. UALR leads the UAC in blocks (2.19/set) and opponent blocks (1.63/set).Â

- Avery Fearnley leads the team and is third in the UAC with 3.35 kills and 0.40 aces per set. She leads the conference in points with 3.94 per set.Â

INSIDE THE SERIES
- The series with Central Arkansas is tied at 5-5. The Colonels won four of the first five meetings between the teams. However, the Sugar Bears have won four of the last five, including a 3-1 victory in the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament championship match.Â
