RICHMOND, Ky. – A pair of 2-0 United Athletic Conference volleyball teams will meet on Thursday when Eastern Kentucky hosts Tarleton State at Baptist Health Arena.  The Colonels will then cap the week with a road match against Texas-Arlington on Saturday.
 
Thursday's contest will begin at 6 p.m. ET.  The match on Saturday is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET.  Both matches will air live on ESPN+.
 
THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels beat Central Arkansas (3-1) and Little Rock (3-0) on the road to start UAC play 2-0, and run their winning streak to seven straight.
 
-  Emilee Hill was chosen as the UAC Player of the Week on Monday.  Hill and Cooper Abney were also picked as the UAC Setter Pair of the Week.  Hill has earned four of the five player of the week awards this season.  Hill and Abney have been named setter pair of the week for three straight weeks.
 
-  Addison Burke tied her career-high with 14 digs at Little Rock.
 
-  EKU leads the UAC in points (16.64/set), kills (13.14/set) and hitting percentage (.243).  As a team, the Colonels are second in the league in assists (12.14/set).
 
-  Hill is fourth in the UAC in aces (0.37/set), fourth in points (3.50/set), seventh in assists (5.96/set), eighth in hitting percentage (.292) and 10th in kills (2.79/set).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Tarleton State is 6-9 overall and 2-0 in the UAC after beating Texas-Arlington (3-1) and North Alabama (3-0) at home.  
 
-  Six players average 1.73 or more kills per set for the Texans.  Laneah Lara leads the squad with 2.36 kills per set.  Leddy Rae Guinn averages a team-best 4.72 digs per set. 
 
-  Texas-Arlington is 7-7 overall and 1-1 in league matches.  The Mavericks lost at Tarleton State (3-1) before beating West Georgia (3-2) at home.  UTA will host Little Rock on Thursday. 
 
-  Evyn Snook leads the team with 2.84 kills per set.  Three other players average between 2.00 and 2.68 kills.  Sophia Krichev (1.35) and Milca Peci (1.00) average more than a block per set.  Krichev leads the UAC in that category. 
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  This will be the first-ever meeting between EKU and Tarleton State. 
 
-  The Colonels have faced Texas-Arlington three times, with all the meetings coming between 1983 and 1995.  The Mavericks won two of those.
