2010 Scouting Report – One of the fastest Colonels on the roster … expected to start and be a deep threat for the offense.
At EKU –
2009: Stepped on the field in all 11 games with 10 starts … led the team in yards per reception (19.1) … paced the team in receptions of at least 40 yards (four) … caught a 51-yard pass in the third quarter against Tennessee State (Oct. 10) which led to an EKU touchdown … scored the opening touchdown in the win over UT Martin on Oct. 17 … added a 13-yard scoring catch in the second quarter at Jacksonville State on Nov. 21 … finished with a season-high three receptions in four contests.
2008: Played in all 12 games with nine starts at wide receiver … finished second on the team in receptions (36) and receiving yards (479) … recorded a team season-high 116 yards receiving in the win over Jacksonville State on Oct. 11 … tallied six catches for a game-high 76 yards receiving against Eastern Illinois on Oct. 25 … notched his first collegiate reception in the season opener at Cincinnati on Aug. 28 … hauled in a 29-yard touchdown pass from Cody Watts on the opening drive against Austin Peay on Sept. 27.
At Tulane –
2007: Made an appearance in one game … did not record a catch … returned two kicks for a total of 40 yards.
2006: Took a redshirt season.
High School – First team all-city defensive back as a senior at Benjamin Mays … made 46 tackles with seven interceptions and three fumble recoveries his senior season … totaled 99 tackles and 21 interceptions as a prepster … also ran track and played baseball … an honorable mention all-city in baseball as a senior.
Personal – Son of Angela and Shannon Davis … born on June 28, 1988 … his cousin, Garrett Beasley, played college football at East Carolina … also runs track for the Colonels … placed second in both the 55 meters and 200 meters at the 2010 OVC indoor championships … won the 400 meters at the 2009 OVC championships … 2008 OVC Male Track Freshman of the Year … 2008 Male Athlete of the OVC Championships … finished 23rd in the 200 meters at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
