The Book on Gathof – Has already proven himself as one of the best safeties at this level … expected to rise to another level as a senior. 

At EKU – 2007: First team All-OVC pick for the second straight year … named Co-OVC Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 11 … started all 12 games at strong safety … led the team with 59 solo tackles … his 91 total tackles were second most on the squad … also tallied five interceptions and six pass break-ups … recorded a personal-high 13 tackles in the playoff game at Richmond on Nov. 24 … posted double-figure tackles on two other occasions … finished with six tackles and two interceptions at Austin Peay on Nov. 10 … chipped in with 12 stops and an interception at Western Kentucky on Sept. 15. 2006: First team all-conference selection … earned OVC Defensive Player of the Week honors for Nov. 12 … played in all 11 games while making 10 starts at strong safety … tied for the team lead with three interceptions … finished second on the squad with 67 tackles … only EKU player to tally multiple sacks and interceptions … recorded 12 tackles against Murray State (Nov. 4) and UT Martin (Nov. 11) … registered a tackle for loss in five of the last six contests … notched six tackles, one interception, one quarterback hurry and one pass break-up in the season finale against Tennessee State. 2005: Earned playing time in eight contests while registering a tackle in four games … recorded a season-high four stops in the win over Tennessee Tech on Sept. 24 … notched three tackles at N.C. State. 2004: Took a redshirt season. 

High School – Named all-state and all-district as a senior … offensive MVP of the Kickoff Classic as a receiver … first team all-metro … an academic all-state performer.
