“I was really proud of the way Papa started last year in his transition to Division I basketball. We expect him to be a great defender, great rebounder and a great shooter this year. He has shown that he can do all three of those things at this level.”

Junior (2008-09):
Played in 26 of 31 games … started his first game as a Colonel in the season opener at FIU on Nov. 14 … missed five games after separating his left shoulder at Cincinnati on Dec. 20 … tied for the team lead in rebounds per game (5.3) … led the squad in rebounding 10 times including a season-high nine boards in the win at Ball State on Dec. 13 … reached double figures in scoring in eight of nine games early in the season … posted a game-high 19 points on 66.7 percent shooting at Murray State on Dec. 4 … added 17 points and seven rebounds at Texas Tech (Nov. 22) in the Legends Classic … OVC Newcomer of the Week for Nov. 24 … hit 8-of-15 (53.3 percent) three-point attempts in the final four games of the year.

Panola Junior College (2006-08):
Averaged 15.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore for the Ponies … shot 48.8 percent from the floor and 40.5 percent from behind the arc … earned All-Region XIV honors in 2007-08 and helped Panola advance to the semifinals of the Region XIV tournament … Panola J.C. is located in Carthage, Texas.

High School:
Named ‘Mr. Basketball’ for Ontario … helped his team win the provincial championship.
