AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008
Capped her first collegiate season by earning a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer team … batted .282 with five home runs, 20 RBIs and 29 runs scored … started every game at shortstop as a freshman … had a .443 slugging percentage and a .349 on-base percentage … six stolen bases in seven attempts … tied for third in the OVC in fielding double plays (14) … third on the team with nine doubles … went 4-for-5 with three runs scored in her fourth collegiate game … hit her first collegiate home run on March 15 against Southeast Missouri … in the next game against SEMO on March 16, Luther hit two home runs and drove in four … went 3-for-4 against Samford on March 29 … against conference champion Jacksonville State on April 5, Luther had two hits in four at bats, scored three times and drove in three runs.
