Biography

The Book on Denton – Has the potential to be among the top safeties in the OVC … has a high football IQ … a very intense, passionate player … also handles the holding duties on field goal attempts. 

At EKU – 2007: Second team all-conference pick … started all 12 games at free safety … tied for second on the team with five interceptions and seven pass break-ups … recorded two interceptions against Western Carolina (Sept. 8) and Samford (Sept. 29) … notched nine tackles and a fumble recovery at Western Kentucky on Sept. 15 … blocked a Western Carolina field goal attempt early in the first quarter … piled up eight tackles in each of the final two games of the season. 2006: Made the transition from quarterback to defensive back … played in 10 games as a safety and on special teams … recorded an interception in each of the last three games … blocked a punt against Murray State on Nov. 4 for a safety … also chipped in with four tackles versus the Racers … added four stops and a pass break-up at Samford on Oct. 7 … tallied a season-best seven tackles against Tennessee State on Nov. 18. 2005: Utilized mainly as the field goal holder and back-up quarterback … attempted first collegiate pass against ACC-foe N.C. State on Sept. 17 … went 3-for-6 for 48 yards in the win over Tennessee Tech … completed a 26-yard scoring pass to Quinton Williams against TTU … also saw time against Samford, going 1-for-2 for seven yards. 2004: Took a redshirt season … named the scout team Offensive Player of the Year.
