Biography

AS A SENIOR (2008-09)
Third on the team with a 71.5 stroke average in five fall events … finished in the top-20 in all five events and finished among the top-10 three times … was under par in seven of 15 rounds … won the individual title at the U of L Cardinal Intercollegiate, his third career title, with rounds of 65, 70 and 65 for a total of 200, 16 shots under par … his score of 200 is the second lowest in EKU history … his rounds of 65 tied his career low, which also ranks as the second best scores in program history … was selected as the Golfweek Magazine Men’s College Player of the Week after winning the Cardinal Intercollegiate … tied for third at the Xavier Invitational … in October, Bowling won the 2008 Kentucky Golf Association’s Player of the Year Award after a year which was highlighted by his win at the 2008 Fifth Third Bank/Callaway Golf Kentucky Open Championship, advancing to the round of 16 at the 2008 United States Amateur Public Links Championship, and a sixth place finish at the 2008 AT&T Kentucky Amateur Championship … the award is given to the individual amassing the most points based on performance in various state and national events … Bowling is the second straight Colonel to win the award.

AS A JUNIOR (2007-08)
First team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection … had six top-10 and nine top-20 finishes in 12 events ... led the 2008 OVC Champions with a 73.1 stroke average … shot under par in nine of 34 rounds … claimed the individual title at the Fall Kickoff Invitational ... set a new career-low with a 65 at the Fall Kickoff ... his 65 tied for the second lowest round in program history ... tied for fourth at the Argonaut Invitational … placed tied for second at the Samford Intercollegiate … tied for 18th at the OVC Championships … tied for 65th at the NCAA Central Regional.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2006-07)
Competed in nine tournaments … finished in the top-20 at four events … placed in the top-10 at two competitions … earned individual medalist honors at the BGSU John Piper Intercollegiate with a two-round total of 137 … tied for 12th at the Cleveland State Invitational … picked up a third place finish at the EKU Spring Intercollegiate ... fired a season-low 68 in the BGSU tournament and the EKU Spring Intercollegiate … carded six under-par rounds.

AS A FRESHMAN (2005-06)
Played in 12 events … named to the OVC All-Newcomer team ... ended with a team-best five top-10 finishes … placed in the top-20 an additional two times … ranked second on the team with a 73.6 stroke average for the year … tied for fifth place at the Belmont Intercollegiate, carding a 213, his season-best … tied for seventh place at the Colonel Classic, firing a 215 … tied for ninth place at the OVC Championships … recorded a low round of 68 at the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate … recorded the Colonels’ best finish at three events … carded eight under-par rounds ... during the summer, competed in the Southern Amateur Championships.
