2009 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 14 games, all in relief … earned his first career win against Marshall, pitching two scoreless innings against the Thundering Herd and allowing just one hit while striking out two batters (3/25) … pitched two crucial innings in a 14-13 win over conference foe Southeast Missouri, allowing just one run on two hits.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named second team all-state his senior year ... went 6-2 with a 2.07 ERA ... recorded an impressive 90 strikeouts in only 55 innings of work ... beat four teams ranked in the top 25 in the state his senior year ... threw an eight-inning no-hitter in the district tournament ... recorded 15 strikeouts in that game, as well ... named All-11th Region his senior year...Named All-42nd District his junior and senior years ... played summer ball with the Kentucky Baseball Club from 2006-08 ... also played varsity football his junior and senior years.
