2010 Scouting Report – After spending a year at safety, he is returning to his more natural position of corner back … carries a very high football IQ … expected to start on the outside alongside Jeremy Caldwell.
At EKU –
2009: Played in all 11 games as a reserve defensive back … also used on special teams and as a holder for field goal attempts … scored EKU’s first touchdown against Kentucky on Nov. 7 in the second quarter on a fake field goal (nine-yard run) … intercepted a pass at Murray State on Sept. 26 which led to a Colonel second quarter touchdown … broke up two passes in the win over Tennessee Tech on Sept. 19 … piled up a season-high five tackles at Austin Peay on Oct. 24.
At Wake Forest –
2008: Saw action in four games, mainly on special teams … did not record any stats.
2007: Played in nine games … had an interception in the season opener at Boston College on Sept. 1 … recorded multiple tackles in three games … missed the rest of the season after undergoing ankle surgery following the North Carolina game on Oct. 27.
2006: Took a redshirt season.
High School – Played quarterback and defensive back at Eagle’s Landing, accounting for 7,168 career yards … as a senior, ran for 1,267 yards and 20 touchdowns … completed 45 percent of his passes for 867 yards and eight scores … led his team to a 6-4 record, the best season in school history … made 63 tackles and intercepted two passes as a senior.
