Biography

2011: Placed third at the OVC Cross Country Championships with a 5K time of 18:09 and was named first team All-OVC for third consecutive season … won her first individual OVC track and field title in the 800 meters at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 2:10.70 … took third in the mile at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 5:08.36 and finished fifth in the 800 meters at the indoor championships with a time of 2:18.11 (after winning the preliminaries of the event with a time of 2:15.21) … ran a personal best in the 800 meters with a 2:07.45 at the Indiana Polytan Invitational in April.

2010: Named first team All-OVC after finishing third at the OVC Cross Country Championships with a 5K time of 18:46.74 … then finished second on the team and 59th overall at the Southeast Region Cross Country Championships with a 6K time of 21:44.8 … scored points with a third place finish in the 800 meters (2:16.03) and a third place finish in the mile (5:10.57) at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships … ran her best mile (5:03.84) at the MTSU Invitational on Feb. 6 and her best 800 meters (2:15.78) at the Indiana Hoosier Hills Open on Feb. 12 … redshirted the outdoor track and field season.

2009: Won the OVC Cross Country Championships with a 5K time of 19:29.05, outdistancing the field by nearly 13 seconds … became the first freshman to win the OVC women’s cross country title since 2002 … was named the OVC Female Cross Country Athlete and Freshman of the Year … became the first Female Cross Country Athlete of the Year from EKU since 2003 …was named the OVC Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Sept. 22 after she finished third at the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic with a 5K time of 18:26.27 … was again named the OVC Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Oct. 6 after she finished 13th out of 291 runners at the talent-laden Louisville Invitational with a 5K time of 17:45.61, 41 seconds faster than her previous personal best.
