HIGH SCHOOL: Left Carlisle High as the school’s all-time home run leader ... as a junior, hit .494 and led the team with seven home runs and the area with 53 RBI, a single season Carlisle record ... also went 7-1 on the mound with a team-best 1.75 ERA ... his performance as a junior earned him team MVP honors and the Middletown Journal’s Area Pitcher of the Year Award ... as a sophomore, he hit .504, smacked seven home runs and drove in 42 runs ... also compiled a 7-2 record on the mound ... also played basketball at Carlisle and was a member of the 1,000 points club.
