Biography
2010: Set a school record in the 10,000 meters with a 36:07.10 at the prestigious Penn Relays on April 23 … was not even on the school’s top-five list for the 10,000 meters entering this season … won the 5,000 meters at both the Indoor and Outdoor OVC Track and Field Championships … won the indoor 5,000 meters with a time of 18:16.98 … won the outdoor 5,000 meters with a time of 17:29.35 … also scored points at the indoor championships with a second place finish in the 3,000 meters (10:23.50) and a sixth place finish in the mile (5:16.70) ... and scored points at the outdoor championships with a second place finish in the 10,000 meters with a time of 38:09.57 … won her first career OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week award on April 27 following her school record 36:07.10 10,000 meters at the Penn Relays … at the time, that time was the fastest in the OVC by nearly two minutes.
2009: Placed fifth at the OVC Cross Country Championships with a 5K time of 20:02.97 and was named first team All-OVC for the second straight year … finished 49th at the Southeast Regional with a 6K time of 21:56.80 ... won her first individual conference title in the 10,000 meters at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 32:21.07 … also finished sixth in the 5,000 meters at the outdoor championships with a time of 18:07.79 … took third in the 3,000 meters at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships in a time of 10:25.86 and finished fourth in the 5,000 meters in 17:43.87 … won the mile at the MTSU Invitational with a time of 5:17.80 … won the 5,000 meters at the EKU Open in a time of 18:12.70.
2008: Finished fifth at the OVC Cross Country Championships and was named first team All-OVC ... finished fifth in the 3,000 meters at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 10:20.25 … also logged a fifth place finish in the 5,000 meters at the indoor championships with a personal best time of 18:20.87.
2007: Finished 28th at the 2007 OVC Cross Country Championships.
High School Accomplishments: A graduate of Bonny Eagle High School in Maine … was a three-time Wilkinson Invitational winner.
Personal: Daughter of Gisele and Robert Pagano ... major is archaeology ... Kat’s best non-athletic talent(s): playing the violin, finding stuff and eating.
