Biography

Neubauer on DiNunno:
“Mike is a proven double-figure scorer at the Division I level. I think he has improved drastically in areas away from his scoring. We do expect him to be a good defender and a distributor of the basketball as well.”

Junior (2010-11):
Sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Northern Illinois University (2009-10):
Played in all 30 games with 21 starts … finished second on the team in both assists (91) and three-pointers made (42) … ranked fourth on the squad in scoring at 7.0 ppg … posted season highs in both points (21) and assists (10) in the win over Western Michigan on Jan. 13 … the 21 points and 10 assists marked his first career double-double … also tallied 20 points in just 18 minutes against Chicago State on Jan. 6 … tallied double-figure points in four other contests … hit 6-of-9 (66.7 percent) field goal attempts against Buffalo on Jan. 30 … netted at least three trifectas in six games … dished out at least five assists on five occasions, including three outings with seven or more.

Northern Illinois University (2008-09):
Played in all 30 games with 29 starts … led all MAC freshmen in scoring (11.9 ppg), assists (2.62 apg), free throw percentage (73.2), three-point field goals made per game (1.97) and minutes played (29.3 mpg) … named the MAC-West Co-Player of the Week on Nov. 24 … ranked fourth in the MAC in three-point field goals made per game (1.97) … recorded 18 double-digit scoring outputs, including seven in conference play … led the Huskies in scoring on seven occasions, and paced NIU in both assists (79) and three-pointers made (59) … scored 20 points or more four times, including twice in his first three career games … poured in a career-high 27 points in the Huskies’ 86-79 win over Indiana State on Nov. 21 … dished out a season-high nine assists in the win over Chicago State on Dec. 6.

High School:
Led Von Steuben to a 24-6 record and sectional title while averaging 22 ppg, 4.3 rpg and 5.2 apg as a senior … earned team MVP honors for his efforts … twice named honorable mention all-state … played his first two seasons at Lake Park, garnering honorable mention all-area accolades to go along with first-team all-conference and team MVP honors as a sophomore … earned conference all-academic honors all four seasons, and city MVP all-academic notice for his final two seasons.
