Biography

2011 (Junior): Delivered another solid season in which he, again, proved his versatility as a reliever or a starter … finished the year second on the team with 20 appearances … compiled a record of 3-1 and a 5.04 ERA … started the season as a reliever and did not allow a run in his first six appearances out of the bullpen … earned his second win against Western Carolina in as many years as he retired one batter in the top of the seventh against the Catamounts on March 1 … got the win against Marshall on April 5 when he came out of the bullpen to pitch four effective innings, allowing just one unearned run on four hits … started three consecutive games down the stretch for the Colonels, going four innings against in-state rival Western Kentucky on May 4 and limiting the Hilltoppers to just one run on five hits and then recording a key conference victory over Murray State on May 8 by pitching 5.2 innings against the Thoroughbreds and surrendering just one run on four hits … while playing for the Baltimore Redbirds of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League this summer, he put together an unblemished record of 5-0 with a 2.63 ERA.

2010 (Sophomore): Second on the staff with a 5.76 ERA and third on the staff with 22 appearances … pitched 50 innings and struck out 24 batters … moved into the starting rotation later in the year and started games in three straight conference series, picking up an important win at UT Martin by going four innings and allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out four (April 25) … his two other wins came against Western Carolina (Feb. 27) and Miami (Ohio) (March 23) … he pitched well against major competition as he started against SEC foe Tennessee and went three innings, allowing just one run on three hits and striking out two in a thrilling Colonel victory (March 3) … he also started against Big 10 opponent Purdue and worked six innings, allowing just two runs on six hits while striking out two (March 17)

2009 (Freshman): In just his first year at EKU, led the pitching staff and was seventh in the OVC with 23 appearances and was second on the staff with two complete games … picked up his first career win against Kentucky State, going five innings while allowing just one run and striking out nine batters (April 1) … earned his second win against Chicago State, pitching all seven innings while allowing no earned runs (May 1) … his best game of the season came late in conference play against Southeast Missouri when he pitched 6.1 innings of relief and allowed just one run on two hits as the Colonels won the important OVC game 11-10 (May 10).

High School Accomplishments: Went 6-0 his senior year with a 2.79 ERA for a team that was ranked number one in the country for a couple weeks ... also recorded 43 strikeouts in 32.1 innings of work that year ... as a junior, he recorded a perfect 4-0 record and a 2.47 ERA to go along with 24 strikeouts in 22.2 innings of work ... his team finished fourth in the nation that year ... also lettered in basketball his junior and senior years of high school.

Personal: Born Sept. 11, 1990 ... son of Mark and Patti Terry ... majoring in management.
