Biography

AS A JUNIOR IN 2012
Started all 54 games … made 49 starts in center field and five in right … second on the team with a .320 average … scored 38 times and drove in 31 runners … led the team with 16 stolen bases … chosen as OVC Co-Player of the Week on April 2 … second on the team with 23 multi-hit games … went 3-for-5 with two runs scored against Indiana State (March 3) … was 3-for-5 with three runs scored against Bowling Green State (March 16) … finished 2-for-3 with three runs and a season best four RBIs against SIU Edwardsville (April 1) … had two stolen bases in five games … played for the San Luis Obispo Blues of the California Collegiate League during the summer of 2012 … one of 21 players chosen as a California League top performer by PerfectGame.org … hit .309 with four doubles, two triples, a home run and 33 RBIs for the Blues … had 24 stolen bases … picked to play in the California Collegiate League All-Star game … 2011-12 Colonel Scholar.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011
Started 43 games, mostly in center field … finished third on the team with 11 doubles … ended the year with a .268 batting average, two home runs, 18 runs scored and 16 RBI … committed just one error in the outfield all season … led the Colonels to 2-of-3 wins over Big Ten opponent Penn State in early March, batting .600 (6-for-10) in the series with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI … collected a career-high four hits in the Colonels’ regular season ending loss to SIU Edwardsville … rose to the occasion again during the postseason as he collected a hit in every game of the OVC Tournament, batting .300 (3-for-10) with a double, two RBI and a run scored … scored 25 runs, drove in 23 runs and swiped 19 bags while winning the Valley Baseball League Championship with the Covington Lumberjacks over the summer … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010
Named to the OVC All-Freshman Team after batting .317 (and .316 during conference play) as a rookie … started 25 games in the outfield, mostly in center field … scored 19 runs while collecting seven doubles and eight RBI … stole 6-of-8 bases … committed only three errors in the outfield all season … came on strong late in the year as he hit safely in nine of the Colonels’ last 11 games … went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in EKU’s win over UT Martin (April 25) … batted 2-for-4 with a run scored against his hometown team Louisville (May 18) … collected a hit in every game of the OVC Tournament, including going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in the Colonels’ opening win over Murray State.

HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year varsity starter at Louisville Male High School ... Batted .400 as a senior with two home runs ... named all-district his senior year ... also played quarterback on the football team for two years.
