2014 Scouting Report – Will push for more playing time at linebacker this season … should see action on special teams.

At EKU – 2013: Played in eight games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams … notched at least one tackle in five contests … tallied four stops, including a tackle for loss, in the win over Austin Peay on Oct. 5 … chipped in with two tackles and a pass break-up against Tennessee Tech on Oct. 18. 2012: Took a redshirt season.

High School – Two-time all-city honoree … honorable mention all-state … Best of the Bluegrass all-star game defensive MVP … member of the 2012 Class of the Commonwealth … played linebacker, running back and punter for the Defenders … posted 77 tackles, four interceptions and 13 touchdowns as a senior … also played baseball for three years and participated in track as a senior … earned a National Scholar-Athlete award from the U.S. Army.

Personal – Son of Mary and Everett Talbert, Sr. … born on Nov. 23, 1993 … both of his parents graduated from EKU … his dad was a 1974 All-American running back for the Colonels.
