Biography

AS A JUNIOR IN 2014
Appeared in 19 games as a reliever … posted a 5.66 ERA and 1-2 record … struck out 17 batters compared to 10 walks in 20 and two-thirds innings pitched … had the second most saves on the team with 4 … had three strikeouts in 3 and one-third innings against UNC Greensboro … six appearances with no earned runs allowed … Chi Alpha Sigma inductee (student-athlete national honor society) … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2013-14 Colonel Scholar.  

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2013
Made team-high 26 appearances … struck out 27 in 31 and two-thirds innings … earned start against Austin Peay (May 25) … finished season 2-2 … posted 6.82 ERA … led team in saves (5) and games finished (18) … earned the save in EKU’s 6-4 win over No. 1 seed Tennessee Tech in the OVC Tournament, propelling the Colonels to the championship round … played for the Martinsville Mustangs in the Coastal Plain League during the summer of 2013, posting a 4.11 ERA in 16 relief appearances … he struck out 20 batters in 15 and one-third innings … 2012-13 Colonel Scholar.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012
Appeared in 14 games and started five times as a freshman … finished with a 1-1 record and an 8.31 ERA … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2011-12 Colonel Scholar.

HIGH SCHOOL
As a senior, finished with a 6-2 record and a 2.32 ERA ... struck out 109 batters in only 63 innings of work, tied a state record with 19 strikeouts in a seven-inning game and finished the season with a 13.3 strikeouts per nine innings average, which was third all-time in state history ... named honorable mention all-state and first team All-5th Region as a senior ... a two-time first team academic all-state honoree ... named the 2010 John Hardin Pitcher of the Year … as a junior, he was named first team all-area by the News Enterprise was also named to the 17th District All-Tournament team … went 7-5 with a 1.95 ERA as junior and struck out a team-leading 84 batters in 74.2 innings of work … played for Team Kentucky at the Midwest Baseball Classic in Chicago in August of 2010 … also played for the Louisville Baseball Club in the summers of 2011 and 2010 ... maintained a 3.9 GPA and was named to the Honor Roll every year at JHHS.
